Steps for Pre-forming and Slitting the Mixed Rubber Sheet
The pre-forming and slitting of the mixed rubber sheet is a crucial process in the rubber production. Here are the detailed steps for this operation:
Step 1: Preparation
Before starting, make sure the rubber slitting machine is in good condition. Check the power supply, the sharpness and installation of the cutting blade, as well as the smooth operation of the conveyor belt and the transmission system. Clean the machine thoroughly to remove any dirt, debris, or remnants of previous rubber. Prepare the mixed rubber sheet and ensure its quality and dimensions meet the requirements.
Step 2: Parameter Adjustment
Set the width of the rubber strips according to the production needs. This can be done by adjusting the distance between the cutting blades or the position of the baffles. Use a measuring tool for precise setting. Then, set the cutting speed based on the hardness, thickness of the rubber sheet, and the cutting requirements. A slower speed may be needed for thicker or harder rubber sheets. Also, adjust the cutting depth so that the blade slightly goes less than the thickness of the rubber sheet to avoid damaging the workbench or over-cutting.
Step 3: Cutting Operation
Start the machine by pressing the start button and observe the operation of each component during the start-up process. Place the mixed rubber sheet steadily on the conveyor belt so that it is automatically transported to the cutting blade. Keep the rubber sheet in a straight line during the feeding process to prevent deviation or curling. When the rubber sheet reaches the cutting blade, the cutting begins. During this process, keep an eye on the quality and dimensions of the cut rubber strips. If there are any deviations, adjust the machine parameters in time.
Step 4: Completion and Clean-up
After the cutting work is completed, press the stop button to halt the machine. Clean the machine again to remove all the rubber scraps and debris. Perform maintenance on the cutting blade, conveyor belt, and other components. Store the remaining mixed rubber sheet properly in a dry and clean place to prevent moisture, heat, and contamination. Package and label the cut rubber strips and store them in a dry and well-ventilated area.
